Jerry Buck Inman guilty

A little more than two years ago, this community became the focus of sensational media coverage centered around a Clemson University student who had reportedly been strangled to death with her own bikini. If you are a frequent reader here, you’ll remember I can became a little more than conventionally obsessed with the murder of Tiffany Souers.

Today, her killer Jerry Buck Inman finally said in public what everybody already knew. He’s guilty. According to the Greenville News, Inman told investigators he held his hand over Souers mouth until she woke up. The News reported Inman had sex with Souers and said, “I knew Tiffany was dead because she stopped struggling.”

I probably wrote more than I should’ve back then. It was one of those cases that got under my skin. I’m happy to see at least this portion of it resolved.

A sentencing hearing for Inman is scheduled for September 8.

    Thank God he confessed. Sometimes just hearing those words is enough to bring closure to everything. It doesn’t take away the pain for the family, but it’s often enough for them to finally shut the door on HIM and walk away.
