Double Ecco
That’s right ladies and gentlemen. It’s the time of year again. This year, I went with two pair of my favorite shoes. I bought a fresh pair of these, the shoes that have helped me survive several summers on my feet in Las Vegas.
I also added a pair to the rotation this year. I’ve been wanting a decent pair of trainers for a while now. I finally broke down and bought these. After two trials, I can confirm, they are the most comfortable pair of tennis shoes I’ve ever worn. When when the rest of my legs ache (transition from atrophy to use is a real bitch), my feet feel great. But I’m always on the lookout for the next best thing. I want to keep up with the ever-changing fashion trends and if I want to do this, I need to think about everything from my clothes, accessories, and the shoes that I wear on my feet. I think I need to up my game even more in this department though, and I’m so tempted to buy myself a pair of belvedere shoes like the ones my friend has because they look great on him, and I think I can pull them off too. I’ll just have to wait and see, as if I get them, I want it to be because I have made the decision to buy them.
You have to understand, I don’t buy things because they are fashionable (Ok I do sometimes). I rarely spend much money on clothes or any accessories. But when I do, it’s because I have seen something that I want, instead of just buying something for the sake of it. I’m not that big into fashion, but I do know a stylish piece when I see it. In fact, most recently, I had been pointed in the direction of somewhere like Unionbay, and they have some of the nicest cargo pants and shorts that I think I’ve ever come across in my life. You can never have too many of these items right? And I was so tempted to buy them because I loved the look of them, but I didn’t get around to it in the end for some reason. So after all that, you just need to know that I do buy things, but only when I want to do so. I have a friend who spends a lot of his spare money on rare limited edition trainers and, whilst I admit that I am often jealous of his finds, they just don’t really suit my style. They look amazing on him, but I doubt I could pull them off the same. Instead, I buy things for function. Yes, these shoes are more expensive than most shoes. Yes, I will buy them again. And again. And again. I challenge you to find anybody who has taken this recommendation from me and regretted it.
There’s your Church of Ecco sermon for the day.
I wear Rockports.
So, there…
Dude. You’re totally stealing my wardrobe. I own both pairs of those (different color on the trainers). I’ll forgive you though — because they are fantastic shoes. The slip-ons are my default travel shoes.
Just another acolyte of the Church of Ecco.
I used to wear Rockports. I wear Ecco.
So there…
Interesting article a few weeks ago on how everyone has forgotten how to walk.

I now spend all my time at home barefoot. I’m not quite ready to walk the streets of Toronto without protection though. 🙂
I’m wearing those exact same shoes at this very moment. Feel good. Look good. I’m the belle of the Amazon Room.
Eccos and Birks, the only thing I wear. Used to love the Eccos because they wouldn’t set the metal detector off at the airport.
I wonder if their heels are comfy. Will you try some for me? It’s a lot of money I don’t have on me to actually test them out, so if you’d do me this one little favor, I’d really appreciate it.
